I am not going to spend/waste more time on this as I do not want anymore stuff/programs on my computer at work.
From the little I have been able to ascertain Picasa gets my vote: it seems less busy.

Task 4 Google Maps and Docs
I have been using Google Maps for a while - very handy and great to use. Google Docs is a new discovery. I wonder how safe it is for business/important documents. How can we rely on security?

Task 3 Google Everything
I wish I had found out about Everything Google - Products a long time ago, it would have simplified a lot about my understanding of Google, the way it is organized. These days learning is never from A B C, it is usually a soup mix from which we either retrieve or come across leads, apps, programs ...
The Wikipedia history of Google is mind boggling - a typical 21st century commercial and non-commercial circus with tentacles reaching out into all spheres of life on earth.
I am looking forward to expanding my horizon with some of the Major Google Services.
Creating an iGoogle page opened the door to my creative side: spent a lot of time with pictures etc, a release from left-side brain activity for a short time until a got sidetracked with links ... down the rabbit hole!

Task 2 Lifelong Learning
The movie, or should I say slides, 7 ½ habits for lifelong learners, was not what I expected. The points made are quite logical and thought provoking.
The technology blogs readwriteweb.com or mashable.com are a mine field of information. Great when you know what you need otherwise they are fantastic time wasters: there is so much information and side tracks that life can disappear while visiting these sites.
Even on tech blogs I have noticed is that the humdrum of daily life, all those uninteresting bits an pieces, are now taking centre stage as the majority of people using popularized technology have nothing better to discuss. Don't we have enough of our own life's meaningless details without having to delve into those of total strangers? It seems a lot of people need validation for their existence via technology. The old saying that the most interesting people are usually the quite ones still rings true ... still waters run deep ... etc.

Task 1 Create your blog
Ok ... started. Does that mean that this blog is out there for ever and ever? Is there a way to not only to cancel it but also to remove it altogether from blogger.com?
How do I get back to my blog? How to I get to my colleagues/friends' blogs?
I need answers!
